PE Curriculum
Our PE Vision
It is our vision to use PE and School Sport to develop pupils who; are Independent, are Motivated, who Persevere, Aim high, are Creative and work as part of a Team in a confident, and caring way (IMPACT). Our children should see physical activity as a normal part of the day, using the range of good quality facilities, equipment and expertise available to them as well as having the opportunity to try a wide range of sports, including those that they may not have come across before, such as archery and lacrosse. In addition to this our aim is to develop socially and mentally aware and resilient children that grow through activity and competition, against themselves and others.
We have chosen to use the Get Set 4 PE scheme to support our physical education. This scheme has been written with careful consideration of the aims of the National Curriculum, to ensure that children are given a wealth of opportunities to develop their physical skills as well as developing the whole child. Each lesson has progressive activities that are designed to inspire and engage, allowing the children to explore and develop skills and embed knowledge.
